23. Los Angeles Chargers (24)

One week after pulling off an impressive win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Los Angeles Chargers were hoping to play the role of spoiler in Week 15 by handing the Minnesota Vikings an unfortunate loss.

In what shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, the Chargers came up way short after losing 39-10 to the Vikings in another contest that basically sums up the disappointment from the entire season.

After making an impressive run in the playoffs last season, Los Angeles seemed like an early candidate to make another playoff run in 2019, but this team clearly has a few areas in need of improvement over the next few months.

For starters, are the Chargers willing to continue giving it another shot with Philip Rivers in 2020?

There have certainly been times throughout his career in which Rivers has looked like a top quarterback in the league, but the veteran’s arm strength simply isn’t the same, and it was frustrating to watch him finish Sunday’s game with three interceptions.

Until Los Angeles realizes that Rivers is holding this team back, it’s going to be difficult to imagine the Chargers becoming a top contender in the AFC anytime soon, which would be a shame with all of the talent to work with.
