16. Chicago Bears (14)

After all of the previous hype at the beginning of the season as defending NFC North champions, it looks like the Chicago Bears will be watching the playoffs from home this January, which should only be viewed as a major disappointment.

Between the defense expected to continue being one of the best in the league along with Mitch Trubisky potentially being an under the radar candidate to win MVP, there was plenty of hype surrounding the Bears entering 2019.

Even after Chicago previously won three games in a row before coming up short on Sunday to the Green Bay Packers, this seemed like perfect example of too little, too late for the Bears since the odds of the team making the playoffs were still a long shot.

Trubisky certainly struggled at times in Week 15 during Chicago’s loss to Green Bay, but his overall play from the last month makes it seem the Bears should give the quarterback another chance to prove himself during the 2020 season.

Instead of fans feeling frustrated over how things turned out this year, the one positive factor about Trubisky is he’s still young enough to learn, and continue developing into the kind of quarterback Chicago needs him to be to bounce back stronger next year.
