5. Kansas City Chiefs (5)

Are the Kansas City Chiefs heating up at the right time before the playoffs officially get underway in a few more weeks?

Earlier in the season, the Chiefs were considered a team that took a step back from a year go since the offense didn’t seem as explosive, although it is difficult to top Kansas City’s offense from 2018.

But with the Chiefs coming off a fourth win in a row over the Denver Broncos while playing in snowy weather conditions, Kansas City seems ready to make another deep run in the playoffs.

Even if Kansas City will have to play an extra game since earning a bye seems like a long shot at this point, this team seems capable of competing anywhere at this point.

As long as Patrick Mahomes (340 passing yards with two touchdowns) manages to stay healthy, the Chiefs should continue to be in great shape when it comes to being one of the top threats in the AFC.

And who knows, maybe over these final two weeks, Kansas City will receive some help from other teams facing the New England Patriots to help the Chiefs potentially move up to the No. 2 seed to earn that extra week off.
