26. Washington Redskins (27)

Coming up just short of another win for a second week in a row was frustrating for obvious reasons, but if anything, the Washington Redskins should feel plenty of excitement over what the future holds on offense with Dwayne Haskins and Terry McLaurin.

With the Philadelphia Eagles struggling in recent weeks on the defensive side of the football, the Redskins were hoping to see their young duo take advantage of the situation, and it certainly started off that way early on in the first quarter.

Once Haskins connected with McLaurin for a 75-yard touchdown, this seemed like an early sign of how the rest of the game would go for Washington before allowing Philadelphia to escape with the 37-27 win.

But as frustrating as this loss was, the Redskins should be thrilled with Haskins finally having the kind of breakout game the offense has been patiently waiting to see after the rookie threw for 261 yards to go along with two touchdowns.

Since taking over the full-time starting job under center, Haskins has made it clear that he was a work in progress, although most football fans knew it wasn’t entirely his fault since Washington didn’t exactly provide the best offense to work with.

Earning a win Sunday would have made the experience more enjoyable for Haskins and the Redskins, but most importantly, at least Washington seems to finally have a quarterback of the future.
