We’ve seen some good things from the Indianapolis cornerbacks in spurts this season but, even after taking Rock Ya-Sin in the second round last year, the Colts could still use some further depth in terms of defensive backs. Deommodore Lenoir thus offers some interesting prospects as to how they could mix it up.

Lenoir is more versed in press coverage than Indy’s zone coverage stylings but his physicality off the line, despite his small-ish frame, could be a nice addition to the secondary. Furthermore, he’s a talented player that has been quickly improving throughout his time in Eugene and could continue to do so for the Shoes.

The way that Chris Ballard has rejuvenated the Indianapolis Colts offensive line has been nothing short of magnificent. Having said that, the general manager could still stand to do some work in terms of the depth in the trenches and perhaps replacing Mark Glowinski. That’s where a guy like Cesar Ruiz could come in. While the Michigan product still needs to work on his off-the-line explosion and quickness, he’s an experienced player that has proven successful against quality competition in the Big Ten.

The Colts finding Darius Leonard in the second round might be one of the biggest draft coups in quite some time. However, the linebacker corps in Indianapolis could still use some more reinforcements and taking a seventh-round flier on Patrick Queen is an interesting proposition.

Queen is a bit undersized at 227 pounds, something that will need to be remedied at the NFL level, but he has great athletic traits and instincts. Moreover, he’s an adept zone defender when dropping into coverage, which will fit well with the Colts.
