Before the New England Patriots take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 16 on Saturday, here are three bold predictions for the Patriots.

The New England Patriots were able to jump over one hurdle in Week 15, but head into Week 16  in the 2019 regular season schedule with one more accomplishment in their sights. New England officially clinched a playoff berth in the AFC following a dominant 34-13 victory in Week 15 over the Cincinnati Bengals on the road in Cincinnati, while also snapping a two-game losing streak going into the matchup.

In Week 16, the Patriots will return home to try and cross another accomplishment off their list prior to the start of the postseason in just a few weeks. New England will welcome in the Buffalo Bills to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough in a rare Saturday evening contest while looking to secure the AFC East title against a divisional opponent.

With a win over the Bills, the Patriots would clinch the AFC East title once again in 2019, currently holding a one-game lead over Buffalo in the division through 15 weeks of action in the regular season.

New England enters the contest with a record of 11-3 overall, sitting atop the AFC East ahead of the Bills (10-4), New York Jets (5-9) and Miami Dolphins (3-11). The Patriots also hold onto the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff breakdown, trailing only the Baltimore Ravens (12-2) in the No. 1 spot.

On the other side of the field, New England will host a Buffalo team that has put together a nice season up to this point in the year. The Bills are coming off of a 17-10 win on the road over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15 on Sunday Night Football to remain within one game of the Patriots in the AFC East standings.

Buffalo is riding a two-game winning streak, having won four of its last five contests going into the Week 16 game against the defending Super Bowl Champions.

Before the Patriots and Bills square off on Saturday evening in Foxborough, let’s make three bold predictions for New England that will take place in the contest at home.
