New York Giants (3-11) at Washington Redskins (3-11)

Sunday, December 22, 1PM ET

Here we go again! Yet another miserable matchup between two teams that seem eager to rack up the losses in 2019. You’d think the showdowns between two dominant squads would be the ones I hate to pick, but you’d be mistaken — it’s these games that no one wants to watch.

But someone has to win (unless there’s a tie of course), and it’s my role right now to pick said winner. While there obviously isn’t much to be excited about with either of these franchises this season, I have to give the slight edge to the Washington Redskins as we head into Week 16.

That’s not to say the New York Giants aren’t capable of pulling off the W. In fact, they got their first win since Week 4 just this past Sunday, with Eli Manning potentially playing his last game at MetLife Stadium. The future Hall of Famer should see the field again in Week 16, but that doesn’t mean he’ll able to pull off another win against this NFC East foe.

The Redskins have seen in an uptick in productivity on offense in recent weeks, with Dwayne Haskins and Adrian Peterson doing much of the work. The D.C. defense hasn’t horrible for most of the season, so they should be able to keep Manning and Co. in check. Washington takes the early lead and never looks back, hurting their draft positioning in the process.

Prediction: Redskins win 28-23
