Carolina Panthers (5-9) at Indianapolis Colts (6-8)

Sunday, December 22, 1PM ET

What once was a promising campaign for the Carolina Panthers has turned sour, as they’ve fired their head coach, lost six straight games and potentially alienated their former MVP quarterback. It’s all going downhill for the Panthers at this point, and it won’t improve in Week 16.

The Indianapolis Colts have also had a disastrous last few weeks, losing five of their last six and going from potential AFC South champs to being on the outside looking in. They were eliminated following Monday night’s blowout loss, and now they’ll simply be trying to move forward from what’s been a major letdown of a season.

For now, let’s take it one game at a time. And in this particular game, I foresee the Panthers’ woes continuing. Kyle Allen has come unhinged, with interceptions coming all too often. Carolina hasn’t been able to utilize Christian McCaffrey, and it’s costing them points and wins.

As long as Jacoby Brissett can play smart, mistake-free football and the Indianapolis defense can jump at the mental errors that Allen will inevitably make, the Colts can get themselves a morale victory. It’ll be nice considering the way the last month or so has gone for this franchise.

Prediction: Colts win 24-16
