3. Adam Gase

Before Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens even started, most football fans assumed the New York Jets were going to end up on the losing end, mainly because Lamar Jackson was going to be too much to handle.

So when the MVP favorite when it on to complete five touchdown passes to help the Ravens defeat the Jets 42-21, this really wasn’t that big of a surprise at all.

If anything, this was just another perfect example of what kind of season it’s been in New York since the Jets went from potential playoff contenders to a team that is clearly still in rebuilding mode.

Even if Sam Darnold were previously healthy enough to play at the beginning of the season, it’s still difficult to imagine the Jets having what takes to be a true competitor during the 2019 season.

Back in the offseason, there were plenty of questions surrounding New York’s decision to hire Adam Gase after seeing the head coach’s struggles in previous years as a member of the Miami Dolphins.

Gase has only been in New York for one season, but this may be enough to convince the Jets it’s time to move on, and replace him with someone else.
