1. Freddie Kitchens
Talent-wise, there was every reason to believe the Cleveland Browns would live up to the hype in 2019 as one of the top contenders in the AFC, which clearly has been far from the case.
As a result of the Browns failing to live up to the high expectations, it’s safe to assume that when the regular season does officially end in less than two weeks, Kitchens will officially be out of a job.
Between acquiring Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants to provide Baker Mayfield with another reliable weapon to work with to the defense appearing to be on the rise as a top unit, why wouldn’t fans feel confident in Cleveland becoming a legitimate playoff contender?
Take everything from the last few months along with the recent drama that took place against the Arizona Cardinals, the frustration is beginning to pile up for the Browns.
Kitchens appeared to be the best man for the job entering the 2019 season, but this is another example of how quickly opinions can change in the NFL.
The longer Kitchens sticks around, the longer it’s going to take Cleveland to become relevant again, and this is clearly something the Browns can’t afford heading into 2020.
