Is Dak Prescott more talented than Brady or Brees? Maybe not. But he’s significantly younger, and still has his best years ahead of him. Mix that with the value placed on the quarterback position, and that’s why the Cowboys’ young gunslinger finds himself atop the top free agents of 2020 list.
I know you’re probably tired of seeing my predictions that most of the top talent (especially quarterbacks) will be staying put. It’s understandable, but you have to realize that this isn’t the NBA. While we’re starting to see more movement among the league’s stars, it hasn’t been nearly as dramatic as their basketball counterparts.
That’s why the Cowboys are going to do whatever it takes to keep Dak in Dallas. They already paid Ezekiel Elliott the big bucks, locking up one piece of their dangerous offensive attack. While I previously predicted that Cooper would be headed elsewhere, the Cowboys simply aren’t going to let a franchise-caliber quarterback slip from their grasp.

Jerry Jones is a madman, but he isn’t completely off his rocker. He’ll meet Prescott’s demands, handing the young signal-caller the most expensive contract in the NFL to ensure he stays in Texas for the foreseeable future. Whether or not that move will pan out is still to be determined…
