NFL Week 16, 2019: 20 Bold predictions to consider
By Dan Parzych
1. Cousins leads Vikings to win over Packers
Unlike last year around this time, the Minnesota Vikings seem determined to make a deep run in the playoffs, whether it happens to be from winning the NFC North or simply a Wild Card spot.
At the moment, the Vikings currently trail the Green Bay Packers by one game in the division standings, but all it takes is a win by Minnesota on Monday to make Week 17 even more intense than it’s already going to be.
Prior to last season, Minnesota signed Kirk Cousins with the belief that he was the missing piece to making the team a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
After the Vikings failed to even earn a Wild Card spot last year in the playoffs, the pressure was on Cousins and company to get back on track in 2019.
Things started off rough at the beginning of the year, but Minnesota would eventually turn the season around to become one of the biggest threats within the NFC.
Despite the Vikings coming up short in September against the Packers, Cousins will be looking for different results in Week 16.
Based off his history of playing in primetime, the concerns will be there for Cousins playing on Monday night, but expect the quarterback to come through in a big way to help take down the Packers.
