16. Winston throws for more than 400 yards, four touchdowns again

While it’s certainly frustrating for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to know they will be watching the playoffs from home once again, at least the team has benefitted from Jameis Winston making a strong case to be the starter during the 2020 season.

For most of the season, Winston has been one of the most difficult quarterbacks to figure out in the NFL since there would be some weeks in which he looks like one of the top players at the position, only to struggle the next.

Buccaneers fans rightfully have plenty of reasons to feel frustration when taking into consideration that Winston is still in search of that first playoff appearance, but maybe 2020 will have hope with the recent hot stretch by the former No. 1 pick.

Just how great has Winston been as of late? As great as it’s been to watch Tampa Bay win five of their last six games, the last two contests have been the most impressive for Winston with the Buccaneers quarterback throwing for more than 400 yards to go along with four touchdown passes in each contest.

Does this mean football fans should expect Winston to increase his streak to three games with a tough meeting scheduled for this weekend against the Houston Texans?

Winston and the Buccaneers have already been ruled out of the playoffs, but at least they could still play spoiler to the Texans since Bill O’Brien and company are still in the hunt for the AFC South title or a Wild Card spot.
