4. Jaylon Smith

Jaylon Smith is the Cowboys’ leading tackler with 125 already on the season. He has gained more responsibility since his partner, Vander Esch, has been out with an injury. Expect him to make a huge difference against the Eagles.

In their first meeting, Smith racked up seven tackles and a forced fumble. He may put up even better numbers this time around. The linebacker has the sixth most tackles in the NFL and has 2.5 sacks to his credit as well.

It will be interesting to see how Smith plays against the pass. He may be expected to match up with opposing tight ends, Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, who will likely be the main targets on the field for Philadelphia.

3. Sean Lee

Smith won’t be alone in the middle of the field though, he will have the support of seasoned veteran Sean Lee. Lee showed up big time in the Cowboy’s previous matchup with an interception and a sack on Jared Goff. He was flying all over the field and was a warrior throughout. The pick towards the end of the first half last week was one of the highlights of the game and an early dagger into the Rams. If he can put up a similar performance, the Eagles will be in trouble.

Lee has been able to flourish in a limited role this season and has stepped up whenever he is called upon. There’s no doubt that his impact within this defensive group is huge for the team’s success.
