Defense/Special Teams

Baltimore Ravens (at CLE, $4,000): This unit is the highest priced defense on DraftKings in Week 16, in large part to the fact that Baker Mayfield and the Browns have produced more turnovers than Vaccaro’s, Baltimore’s world-famous pastry shop. However, I prefer the Denver Broncos (vs. DET, $3,500) at a $500 discount against David Blough and the lowly Lions.

Indianapolis Colts (vs. CAR, $3,300): This team aims to play the role of rude host to rookie Will Grier, who logs his first NFL start on the road in Week 16. I’d rather pay the extra $200 for Denver, but the Colts are a solid option for those who come up just short on salary.

Atlanta Falcons (vs. JAX, $3,200): The Falcons defense keeps improving by leaps and bounds as the year marches on. Enter the Jacksonville Jaguars, who come into Atlanta with DJ Chark hobbling and the entire offense struggling.

Los Angeles Chargers (vs. OAK, $3,100): The Chargers are another defense boasting a few playmakers in the front seven who host an inferior offense in Week 16. The Bolts rank among the NFL’s five best in total defense (yards allowed), so the Raiders are in for a long day.

Kansas City Chiefs (at CHI 2900): This team hasn’t allowed more than 17 points in a game since Week 10. Enter Mitchell Trubisky. Enough said, especially at this price.

Washington Redskins (vs. NYG, $2,800): Their opponent is one of the three worst fantasy offenses in the NFL. Add another layer: rookie Daniel Jones should be a bit rusty in his first game back from an injury that should somewhat hamper his mobility. The Redskins are a solid bet to rack up several sacks and a turnover or three.
