3. Chris Harris Jr., CB

One of the best cornerbacks in the NFL is expected to be available in 2020, and his name is Chris Harris Jr. A former undrafted free agent in 2013, Harris grew to be one of the most important players on the Denver Broncos’ legendary 2015 defense that won a Super Bowl. Since then, he’s largely been recognized as the best slot corner in the league.

The Packers current starting nickel (or slot) corner is 36-year-old Tramon Williams, who’s currently in the last year of his contract. Even if Williams decides not to retire after the 2019 season, it’d be hard to imagine Green Bay re-signing him because of his age. That leaves Harris as a potential replacement option.

Both Jaire Alexander and Kevin King have shown to be reliable forces on the outside, but the absence of Williams leaves a giant hole in the slot. Harris is a true shutdown cornerback, and even at 30 years old still has plenty of gas left in the tank.

With the addition of Harris, the Packers would have arguably the best trio of cornerbacks in the NFL next season. The Packers have struggled to cover quick-twitched slot receivers for most of the season, so Harris would be a welcomed addition in 2020.
