2. A.J. Green, WR

The Packers have one of the best wide receivers in the NFL in Davante Adams, but even Adams himself can’t overcome double coverage and be a one-man show at all times. The Packers are in desperate need for a playmaker opposite of Adams, and A.J. Green could be the perfect remedy.

Green has spent his entire career with the Cincinnati Bengals, racking up over 1,000 receiving yards in six of his nine seasons in the NFL. Injuries have plagued Green in recent years, however, as he’s missed the entire 2019 season so far with an ankle injury. It’s highly unlikely he’ll return at all this season.

Despite missing the entire season, the seven-time Pro Bowler should be fully healthy by the time 2020 free agency rolls around. Even at 31 years old, Green is one of the best receivers in the NFL when healthy, and the Packers could use a dynamic playmaker to take the pressure off Adams.

The Bengals have plenty of cap space and have already stated they’d like Green to stay in Cincy, but it remains to be seen whether Green wants the same. He’s stated as such in recent weeks, but he could just be speaking lip service at the podium. If Green hits free agency, the Packers should be all in.
