1. Woes continue in Oakland

The Raiders are a hot mess heading into the last two weeks of the season. The promise of a three-game win streak has been brought back to earth with a four-game losing skid that shows no signs of ending. The Raiders have a quarterback problem, an issue scoring points late in a football game, and have shown zero signs of turning it around.

For Gruden, this is confirmation that the Raiders need to draft a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft. That’s not terrible news, especially as a likely reset will be happening just off of the Las Vegas strip. Another uneven to bad for performance by Derek Carr will likely be the death warrant for his days in Silver and Black.

For fans of the AFC, especially the AFC West, this is one game with two teams who will look dramatically different in 2020. However, in Week 16, it will be a gutsy performance by the Chargers and Philip Rivers that sends Oakland to a fifth straight loss and another season under .500.

The Raiders have another ugly Sunday in a city they once called home. Rivers lights up the Oakland defense as Carr goes into early hibernation. Unfortunately for Raiders fans, it’s another loss in a winless December. Raiders 17, Chargers 34.
