2. Mahomes accounts for 5 TDs

Despite playing in the heavy snow last week, Patrick Mahomes was phenomenal. The Chiefs quarterback completed 27 of his 34 passing attempts for 340 yards and two touchdowns, though he did throw one interception on the day. Regardless, the reigning NFL MVP has been able to come back from his knee injury and start to hit his stride over the past few weeks.

With the postseason nearing, the Chiefs are in a spot to still fight for postseason seeding and to start making statements. Mahomes is more than capable of doing so against a defense that has been playing below expectations this season. He’ll do just that with a five-touchdown performance, using both his arms and legs to really put Chicago to bed early in primetime.

1. Trubisky sinks Bears with 3 turnovers

As briefly mentioned when talking about Montgomery’s struggles, there are two things that should happen on Sunday Night Football. First, the Bears should fall behind relatively quickly under the strength of the Chiefs offense. Second, the much-improved and now healthy Kansas City defense is going to step up. That’s bad news for Mitchell Trubisky.

With the Chiefs pass rush now having Terrell Suggs in the mix as well, they are going to put Trubisky under duress for much of the game. The Bears quarterback, having to throw to keep up with Mahomes and the Kansas City offense, will not be up to the task. Instead, he’ll sink Chicago’s chances of keeping up by committing at least three turnovers on the day.
