Stud: Michel, Burkhead step up

In the win over the Bills, the Patriots running back pair of Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead put on a show and stepped up for New England throughout the course of the contest at home at Gillette Stadium.

While helping the Patriots claim a divisional title yet again in 2019, Michel finished with a team-best 96 yards rushing on the ground while tallying a team-high 21 carries. He also finished with one catch for five yards in the game.

Burkhead, on the other hand, did it both on the ground and in the passing game for New England. The running back finished with five rushes for 20 yards and one touchdown on the ground, while hauling in a team-best 77 yards on four receptions through the air en route to the win.

Dud: Early turnover

In the first half, one blemish that did appear for the Patriots and Rex Burkhead, although he did manage to have a nice overall performance at the end of the night, was the fact that the running back had a costly fumble in the first half of play on Saturday.

While appearing to be breaking out for a large chunk play on the offensive side of the ball, Burkhead had the ball punched out while running down the field and the Bills were ultimately able to recover the ball and turn the momentum in their favor on the road at Gillette Stadium.

It was a minor dud, but it was a dud nonetheless for the Patriots in their win on Saturday evening at home.
