2. Jordan Phillips

Real-life doesn’t have any mulligans, but the Miami Dolphins probably wish it did. In 2018, they decided to give up on defensive tackle Jordan Phillips as they waived the former second-round pick.

It was hard to blame them because the 6-6, 341-pounder was underwhelming. However, he landed with the Buffalo Bills, who claimed him on waivers, and the big guy has made the most of his second chance.

Phillips played well, but didn’t stand out in his 12 games with Buffalo in 2018. Then in 2019, he blew up. He leads the AFC in sacks and Stephen White of SB Nation says that he should have plenty of suitors in the offseason due to the way he gets after the quarterback.

"“I don’t know how many men his size have ever actually gotten to 9.5 sacks in a season in NFL history, but I’d be willing to be that list is awfully short. Finding a defensive tackle who can consistently push the pocket and get quarterbacks on the ground is something that damn near every team is looking for, so Phillips should have no shortage of suitors once the offseason rolls around.” — White, SB Nation"

Phillips is big enough to play the one-technique but has also had success as the three. His versatility is just another reason to gauge his interest in coming to Big D this offseason.
