14. Los Angeles Rams (13)

Did the Los Angeles Rams miss out on their only Super Bowl opportunity last year since Saturday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers officially eliminated the defending NFC champions from playoff contention?

For the second year in a row, the Rams were considered to be in win-now mode by willing to bring on any player that seemed capable of helping the team earn a trip to the Super Bowl, which worked last year before coming up short against the New England Patriots.

Early on in the 2019 season, Los Angeles seemed to be heading towards another year of being a top contender in the NFC, but their heartbreaking loss to San Francisco sums up what the last few months have been like.

Between the offensive line turning out to be a disaster for the most part after allowing a few key players to walk away on top of Todd Gurley’s production taking a step back, coming up shy of reaching the playoffs should be viewed as a major disappointment.

Once the offseason gets underway, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all if there were a few changes to Sean McVay’s coaching staff since 2019 was a wasted opportunity for another potential Super Bowl run.
