NFL Power Rankings, Week 17: Eagles bury Cowboys, Ravens clinch No. 1 seed

12. Tennessee Titans (12)
Coming up short against the New Orleans Saints at home seems frustrating for the Tennessee Titans from a playoff perspective, but the good news for Mike Vrabel and company is a win next weekend over the Houston Texans secures the final Wild Card spot, no matter what.
Thanks to some unexpected help from the New York Jets defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, the Titans are in control of their own playoff destiny, although they still face the challenge of defeating the Texans.
With Houston already clinching the AFC South, it will be interesting to see if they end up resting any of their key starters, especially if there is some fear over the possibility of running into their rivals at some point in January, whether it’s a long shot or not.
Up until the previous two weeks, the Titans were viewed as one of the hottest teams in the NFL since Ryan Tannehill took over the starting job at quarterback, and this could still very well turn out to be the case, depending on how Week 17 goes.
Losing two games in a row at home may have some Titans feeling somewhat disappointed, but as long as they win next weekend, this is all that really matters the most.
