Stud: Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs was basically the lone bright spot within the Minnesota offense in the loss a home, leading the way for the Vikings through the air while tallying the lone touchdown reception in the game.

On Monday night, Diggs managed to haul in a team-best 57 yards on three receptions, securing one touchdown in the contest. The wide receiver ended up averaging 19 yards per catch with five overall targets.

It would have been nice for the Vikings to get another player to step up in the passing game alongside Diggs, but the wide receiver was at least a bright spot for the purple and gold throughout the divisional matchup.

Dud: Cousins, Vikings offense

As mentioned above, outside of Stefon Diggs, there really wasn’t much to be positive about when it came to the Vikings offense and what they were able to do on that end of the field against the Packers. Outside of Diggs’ 57 yards receiving, Minnesota managed to record just 65 receiving yards in the game and ended up with 57 yards rushing on the ground.

As far as Kirk Cousins under center, the quarterback finished converting on 16 of his 31 pass attempts to end up with 122 yards passing, one touchdown and one interception. Overall, the Vikings offense wasn’t very impressive on Monday night and that opened the door for the Packers to come into Minneapolis and come away with both the win and the NFC North title.
