New York Jets (6-9) at Buffalo Bills (11-4)

Sunday, December 29, 1PM ET

This is a tough one to call. On the surface, it would seem the Buffalo Bills are the easy pick in Week 17. However, as we’ve seen at times this season, the New York Jets are capable of pulling off a surprise win. On top of that, the Bills don’t have much to play for in the regular-season finale.

No matter what happens on Sunday, the Bills will be the fifth seed in the AFC. So more than likely, they’re going to take it easy, resting at least a few starters in the process. With that said, this Buffalo squad is still worth taking seriously and should have enough gusto to take down the Jets.

At this point, it’s unclear whether or not Josh Allen will play. Even if he sits this one out, the Bills should be able to get something going against New York’s inconsistent defense. As for the Jets offense, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were still stymied — the Buffalo defense is one of the best in the league and will be even if a couple of starters rest.

The Jets give the Bills a run for their money in Week 17, but still fall short. Buffalo goes into the postseason coming off a divisional win, while Gang Green gets a slightly better pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Prediction: Bills win 21-18
