Green Bay Packers (12-3) at Detroit Lions (3-11-1)

Sunday, December 29, 1PM ET

After taking care of the Vikings and locking up the NFC North, the Packers will be looking at securing a first-round by in Week 17. In order to do so, they’ll need to take down a Detroit Lions team that has been abysmal for much of the 2019 campaign.

Put simply, there’s little reason to believe the Packers won’t take care of business. They’re playing against a third-string quarterback, with a defense that completely shut down Cousins and a Minnesota offense that’s been on fire as of late. Aaron Jones is playing some outstanding football. Oh, and they’ve got Aaron Rodgers under center.

With the divisional crown in hand, the Packers can get as high as the top seed in the NFC by taking down the Lions. Seeing as that seems a near guarantee at this point, it looks like the NFC playoffs will be going through Green Bay.

Is there really even anything to say about the Lions? Their offense hasn’t been anything impressive this season, and the defense is a mess. Honestly, I’d be surprised if they even kept this one within striking distance. The Packers really lucked up with this matchup in the final week of the regular season.

Prediction: Packers win 34-10
