Atlanta Falcons (6-9) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-8)

Sunday, December 29, 1PM ET

As strange as it is, this is one of the more intriguing matchups of Week 17. Despite there being no real reason for either of these teams to win, I could see the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers putting on quite the show as they both wrap up their 2019 seasons.

Did you know that Jameis Winston is two interceptions away from putting together the first 30-touchdown, 30-interception season in NFL history? Honestly, seeing as this game means nothing at this point, I wouldn’t mind watching Winston reach that milestone.

Obviously that isn’t a part of my analysis of this matchup, but it makes for a more interesting watch, doesn’t it? Then there’s the real things to consider, such as the Falcons’ hot streak as they look to save Dan Quinn’s job and the wild inconsistency that the Buccaneers have shown down the stretch. And again, Winston is a loose cannon who loves giving the ball away.

Look for the Falcons to focus on putting pressure on Winston, forcing him into mistakes that allow them easy points. The Buccaneers keep it close as they’ve done for most of the 2019 campaign, but a late mistake costs Tampa Bay the game.

Prediction: Falcons win 37-35
