NFL Wish List

What are teams wishing for this holiday season? I intercepted a few wishes from some teams and posted them here, which was easy to do because Jameis Winston was handling them.

Cowboys: A new coach

For a team stacked with talent, Dallas has massively underperformed this season. I outlined the pros and cons to firing Jason Garrett a few weeks ago, though I’m more convinced than ever that Garrett’s time in Dallas should end. Scoring just nine points on a banged-up division rival should be the final straw.

Christian McCaffrey: A new team

I know this isn’t a team, but the desire is too pressing to ignore. To be clear, I don’t see Carolina moving on from McCaffrey. I just think he deserves better than a team that’s won one game since Week Seven. It’s also only a matter of time until McCaffrey’s extreme usage takes a toll on the superstar running back, right?

Chiefs: A running back

Speaking of running backs, Kansas City could use one. Their defense has been hot lately and their passing offense is among the league’s best, yet they still need a reliable runner. Kareem Hunt opened up the Chiefs’ offense to a whole new level the previous two seasons. Now, they’re the ninth-worst rushing team in the NFL.

Bears: A time machine

Trubisky hasn’t been worthy of the second-overall pick that Chicago took him at three years ago. This wish is more due to the quarterbacks who were selected after Trubisky, though. They were some guys named Patrick and Deshaun. Hey, it looks like this guy beat the Bears to the time machine…

That’s one way to go about it.
