AFC North Christmas Wishlist

Baltimore Ravens: Lifetime of Lamar Jackson

In his second NFL season and his first year as the full-time starter for the Ravens, it would be a major shock if Lamar Jackson didn’t capture MVP honors. Now it’s all about what’s next for the dynamic quarterback and the hope for everyone in Baltimore is that the future holds nothing but health and fortune. His playing style leads many to worry about that but, as for now, he’s holding up and no one can stop him.

Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow

Hey, we have a Christmas wish that’s going to be granted, though the Bengals will have to wait until April for it to fully come to fruition. Cincinnati needs to restart and rejuvenate their franchise and moving on to Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick in 2020 — which the Bengals have already locked up — can do that. Bringing in one of Ohio’s own to helm the offense could be the shot in the arm that Zac Taylor’s team truly needs.

Cleveland Browns: A time machine

Yes, the Browns wish for a time machine. And that time machine would take them back to the 2019 offseason when Freddie Kitchens, who was promoted to interim offensive coordinator from running backs coach midseason, swindled Cleveland into believing he could coach a highly talented winner.

Make no mistake, the Browns have plenty of issues to sort out. However, so many of them would be solved if Kitchens had never been given the head coaching job.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Serviceable quarterback play

It might seem more obvious to say that the Steelers wish that Ben Roethlisberger had not gotten injured in the 2019 season. But accepting that reality, it would be more apt for the franchise to wish that they had someone who could functionally play quarterback for them. That’s more than either Mason Rudolph of Devlin Hodges can say for their performances in 2019 and what has ultimately held a talented and fiery Steelers squad back.
