NFC West Christmas Wishlist

Arizona Cardinals: Worthwhile offensive line

Though it may not be a winning season, you’d have to mark the Arizona Cardinals’ first year with Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury down as a success. The offense indeed looks creative and successful and they could be on the right track. However, not only do they need more weapons, they also need better protection up front for their new star quarterback and whoever is playing running back moving forward.

Los Angeles Rams: Jared Goff’s money back

After making the Super Bowl one season ago, the Rams appeared to be destined for sustained greatness. One year later, they’re out of the playoffs and staring down an uncertain future under Sean McVay — and much of that uncertainty starts with Jared Goff at quarterback.

With a four-year, $134 million extension already signed, the Rams would surely like to rethink that deal right about now.

San Francisco 49ers: Robert Saleh staying put

With the transformation that 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh has made to his unit in San Francisco, he’s likely going to be one of the hottest head coaching candidates in the 2020 NFL offseason. But with the way that unit has performed this season, helping the Niners vault into Super Bowl contention, everyone in Santa Clara would certainly want Saleh to stick around.

Seattle Seahawks: Someone please just help Russell Wilson

An argument could be made that the Seahawks got a Christmas gift with Marshawn Lynch returning to Seattle. However, on a grander scale, it’s about help for their superstar quarterback.

Whether it’s the offensive line, a shallow pass-catching corps, a lackluster defense or a litany of other things, the Seahawks need to get Russell Wilson some help. It can’t be that hard to not have a great player needing to do it all for your team to succeed, yet that’s been Seattle consistently.
