14. Trubisky fails to toss touchdown pass second week in a row

Will the Chicago Bears give it another go with Mitch Trubisky during the 2020 season?

One year after emerging as the surprise winners of the NFC North, the Bears took a bit of a step back in 2019 by missing out on the playoffs completely.

Plenty of factors came into play as far as Chicago missing out on the playoffs is concerned, but it’s going to be difficult to put a good amount of the blame on Mitch Trubisky under center.

Looking back, it seems laughable at this point to think about how Trubisky was considered a potential MVP candidate entering the new season before the Bears seemed regrettable at times in focusing the offense around the UNC product.

Whether it seems unfair or not, Trubisky has faced plenty of criticism throughout the 2019 season, but also has put together a few impressive performances to make somewhat of a case for next year.

Even though one game won’t determine what the future holds for Trubisky in Chicago, the Bears quarterback will be looking to do everything in his power to finish the year on a high note by coming through against the Minnesota Vikings.

Since the Vikings are already a lock for a Wild Card spot, Trubisky and the Bears could be in a position where they benefit from Minnesota resting some starters, meaning a strong outing on offense by the Chicago quarterback shouldn’t be ruled out.

But also, if the struggles that have been on display at times showed up for Trubisky in Week 17, this wouldn’t come as a surprise either.
