The Dallas Cowboys have ignored some of their holes on the roster for years but finally address these major flaws in this 2020 7-Round NFL Mock Draft

The Dallas Cowboys players and coaching staff are locked into their Week 17 game against the Washington Redskins, but not many others that follow the team are concerned with that game. This seems to even include owner Jerry Jones.

With Dallas all but eliminating themselves from playoff contention with a disappointing outing against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, it seems as though we are all looking ahead to who can save this struggling franchise.

It’s a safe bet that Jason Garrett will have his office packed up before Monday morning as fans finally get their wish and see him leave. With Garrett taking the blame for this lost season, Jones and his brain trust will be searching for a new coach.

After that ordeal is finished, they can then turn their attention to filling the holes on this roster. And thanks to Garrett and his staff, there are some glaring holes.

This isn’t meant to bash Garrett, but it’s a simple truth. For years, he and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli have undervalued the safety position and the middle of the defensive line. Instead of getting players ready to contribute, they relied too heavily on their own ability to raise a player’s ability through their coaching.

On offense, tight end has been ignored as well. While Jason Witten is a Hall of Famer, he’s not what he used to be and they did nothing to prepare for his first retirement and have done less to prepare for his second.

So with that being said, we dive into the 2020 NFL Draft and address these concerns and more with a Dallas Cowboys 7-Round mock draft.
