With the Atlanta Falcons coming away with a Week 17 overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, here are three studs and duds from the win.

The Atlanta Falcons came into the final game of the 2019 NFL regular season as one of the hottest teams around the league down the stretch. Riding into the game with a three-game winning streak, the Falcons finished the year with a road contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

On Sunday afternoon in Tampa Bay, Atlanta was able to accomplish that although it won’t be taking part in the postseason this season, taking down the divisional opponent, 28-22, in overtime in Week 17.

The Falcons jumped out ahead of the Buccaneers early on in the contest, grabbing a 10-0 advantage after one quarter of play on the road. Before halftime, Tampa Bay went off to outscore Atlanta 22-6 in the second quarter alone to take over the lead 22-16 going into the break.

In the second half, the Falcons were ultimately able to complete the comeback after outscoring the Buccaneers 6-0 in the final two quarters and coming away with the win in extra time on the road behind a pick-six in overtime.

With the win, the Falcons were able to end the regular season schedule winners of four straight games, ending the year on a positive note after kicking off the 2019 campaign with an awful start in the first half of the schedule.

Atlanta, which will miss the playoffs this year, ends the regular season with a record of 7-9 overall, finishing the season second in the NFC South division behind only the New Orleans Saints (13-3 overall), while sitting ahead of the Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers (5-11) in the standings.

Now with the season in the books for both the Buccaneers and Falcons, let’s dive back into the Week 17 game and come up with three studs and duds for Atlanta in the overtime victory.
