17. Indianapolis Colts (16)

Since the Indianapolis Colts were already eliminated from playoff contention, Sunday’s 38-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars shouldn’t be viewed as that big of a deal.

But when it comes to the offseason, it’s safe to assume the Colts will feel extra motivated to make sure they are participating in the playoffs around this time next year.

After making a surprise statement last January by winning their first game of the playoffs, Indianapolis was expected to continue being a top contender in the AFC, but unfortunately the team received a surprise in the preseason when Andrew Luck decided to retire.

Jacoby Brissett certainly deserves a ton of credit for filling in on offense, and showing he has what it takes to be the quarterback of the future since the Colts seem built strong enough on both sides of the football to bounce back strong next year.

Of course, with all of the injuries Indianapolis dealt with over the last few months, the offseason will be important to make sure the Colts add the necessary depth on both sides of the football.

If this turns out to be the case, indianapolis should have little trouble returning to the level of being a top contender in the AFC next season after finishing with just seven wins in 2019.
