5. Green Bay Packers (4)

Whether the Green Bay Packers want to admit it or not, Sunday’s meeting with the Detroit Lions seemed like the ultimate trap game for the NFC North champions.

And with the chance to secure a first-round bye on the line, the Packers couldn’t afford to come up short against their division rivals with the Lions down to third-string quarterback David Blough.

Green Bay certainly gave themselves a scare, but at the end of the day, all that matters is the Packers defeated the Lions to earn that first-round bye, and will now wait to see which team will be coming to Lambeau Field for the Divisional Round.

Football fans can say whatever they want about this team, but one can only imagine how motivated Aaron Rodgers is going to be in January after the Packers missed out on the playoffs in each of the previous two seasons.

Rodgers has a history of playing his best football this time of year, and after watching Green Bay experience numerous obstacles to get in this position, the future Hall of Famer seems ready to help his team make a run for a potential trip to Miami.

Until the Divisional Round arrives, at least the Packers can benefit from the extra week of rest.
