Tennessee Titans (6) at New England Patriots (3)

Saturday, January 4, 8:15PM ET

Trust me when I say that the New England Patriots will not be making a return trip to the Super Bowl this season. Unfortunately, their departure from the playoffs will not happen this week with the Tennessee Titans coming to town.

That’s not to say the Titans are a pushover. Since Ryan Tannehill took over under center and Derrick Henry got going, they’ve been a team that deserves respect. It also makes this matchup all the more interesting with Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel taking on the team he played for and won three Super Bowl rings with.

With all of that said, Bill Belichick will be ready for this one. He’ll be sure Tannehill is under fire all game long, and Henry doesn’t have too much room to run. And even with Tom Brady suffering a down season of sorts, the Tennessee defense won’t be too tough for him to not put up at least a couple of touchdowns.

The Titans keep it close but fall short in the end due to the Patriots’ elite defense. New England stiffens up in the final minutes, shutting the door on Tannehill and Co. while booking the team’s ticket to the Divisional Round.

Prediction: Patriots win 21-16
