AFC Divisional Round: Houston Texans (4) at Baltimore Ravens (1)

The last time the Texans and Ravens met, it was a mess for the former. Baltimore blew Houston out to the tune of a 41-7 shellacking, a game that forced a number of folks to jump on the Ravens bandwagon. I don’t expect another blowout this time around, but the result should be the same.

There’s just no way the Ravens fall out of the postseason so quickly. They’ve been easily the most dominant team this season, and come into the playoffs riding a 12-game winning streak. Lamar Jackson has been unstoppable, and the Baltimore defense has done its part as well to keep the wins coming. They’ll find a way to keep Watson, Hopkins and the rest in check.

Especially with the home crowd at their backs, the Ravens put together a strong, steady performance in the Divisional Round. They don’t put up 41 points again but find the end zone consistently while forcing the Texans into more mistakes than they’re used to.

It’s been a great year for both of these clubs, but the Ravens are clearly the superior club. With Jackson under center, Mark Ingram healthy and the Baltimore defense firing on all cylinders, there’s just no way the Texans will bring enough big plays to the table to pull off the upset.

Prediction: Ravens win 34-24
