NFC Divisional Round: Seattle Seahawks (5) at San Francisco 49ers (1)

If there’s any team in the 2020 NFL Playoffs who can upset the 49ers, it’s the Seahawks. Heck, they already did it once this season (in San Francisco nonetheless) and nearly did it again in Week 17. That is if it wasn’t for a missed pass interference call and poor clock management.

Still, this is Round 3 of this matchup, and it should deliver us a delicious 60 minutes of gridiron action. These are two hated rivals who love to beat on each other when they meet on Sundays, and it should be more of the same during the Divisional Round. So who wins the tiebreaker? I’m going out on a limb and predicting the Seahawks pull off the shocker.

Yes, they’ll struggle at times to slow Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco offense. They may even fall behind early and require a major comeback effort to do it. However, when you’ve got Wilson running the show, anything truly is possible. He’ll work more of his magic, and help the Seahawks overcome any defensive shortcomings.

Seattle makes the first big waves of the 2020 playoffs, putting the 49ers in their place and making their top seeding irrelevant. It comes down to the wire, but Pete Carroll and his coaching staff take care of business this time, leading a game-winning drive in the final minutes to move on to the NFC Championship Game.

Prediction: Seahawks win 32-27
