Whether the Dallas Cowboys ever decide what to do at coach or not, they’re going to end up having to address some pending free agents. These 3 players should be allowed to walk in 2020.

If there’s anything to take from the debacle that the Dallas Cowboys are bungling their way through with head coach Jason Garrett, it’s that they have a hard time making business decisions.

Anyone who has seen the way this team has performed under Garrett in the past decade can tell he’s not the guy to take them to the promised land. So, if Jerry Jones wants any more ‘glory hole’ he needs to find a new coach.

In a moment of honesty, Jones would probably admit this — I mean, he has seen the collapses up close and personal. But the problem is, Jones and his son, Stephen Jones, genuinely like Garrett. And they have had a hard time separating the personal relationship from the business side of things.

Jones shows this in big ways, such as the Garrett dilemma, and small ones as well. He’s often been criticized for hanging onto players far too long, clinging to what they once were. He even called Sean Lee his “ace in the hole” last season when it was clear that Lee was being thoroughly outplayed at that time by rookie Leighton Vander Esch.

Sure, this season Lee seemed better and LVE was not the same as he was during his rookie campaign, but even when the two were on opposite spectrums, Jones couldn’t see it.

This causes some concern as free agency approaches. The Cowboys have been better in recent seasons at saying goodbye to some players — Dez Bryan, Cole Beasley — but there’s still that fear that he could cling to someone who is better left alone.

With that being said, we look at three players who will be free agents that the Dallas Cowboys need to move on from.
