2. Cousins, Vikings offense will struggle to match Brees, Saints

When it comes to Brees and the Saints offense, they have been one of the more potent offensive units in the entire league so far in the 2019 season, something that has continued to be a trend really since the veteran quarterback entered the league for New Orleans.

Entering the playoffs, the Saints have averaged a total of 373.9 yards per game on offense through 16 regular-season contests, a mark that ranks ninth in the NFL. They also ranked third-best in the league in points per game, average 28.6 a contest this year.

In the passing game specifically, New Orleans tallied 265.2 yards per game through the air, which ranked seventh in the NFL during the regular season schedule.

When it comes to the Vikings on the other end, they have been somewhat inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball while dealing with some key players battling through injury issues during the year.

Going into the postseason, Minnesota averaged a total of 353.5 yards per game on the offensive end of the field, which ranked 16th in the NFL. The Vikings did average to put up an average of 25.4 points per contest, which was good enough to rank eighth in the league. In the passing game, Cousins and Minnesota have averaged 220.2 passing yards per game, which ranked 23rd in the NFL.

On Sunday afternoon at the Superdome in New Orleans, Cousins and the rest of the Vikings offense will have to try and match what Brees and the Saints are able to accomplish on their side of the field. Unfortunately for Minnesota, that won’t be the case.
