Houston Texans (3) at Kansas City Chiefs (2)

Sunday, January 12, 3:05PM ET

I’m sorry, but the Houston Texans’ Wild Card win didn’t give me much confidence in them moving forward. They barely managed to edge out the Buffalo Bills to move on to this daunting matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, one of the NFL’s hottest clubs coming into the postseason.

I just find it hard to believe the Texans can muster enough offense to keep up with Patrick Mahomes and Co. Yes, the Bills obviously have a great defense, which is a large part of why Houston struggled to score last Saturday. They’ll face similar problems in the Divisional Round, except they also have to keep pace with a much more dangerous offense as well.

If the Texans had trouble keeping Josh Allen in check, they’ll hate doing the same with Mahomes. He’s as talented of a quarterback as they come, and he’s got plenty of dynamic playmakers around him. And if that’s not enough, you have to consider that the Kansas City defense is playing lights-out football right now.

When these two teams met back in October, the Texans pulled off the upset on the road. If you’re expecting a similar result, you may want to reconsider. The Chiefs welcome them into Arrowhead, hand them a loss and move on to the AFC Championship Game without much trouble.

Prediction: Chiefs win 37-19
