2. Stefon Diggs will play a larger role

In the first-round playoff contest on the road against the New Orleans Saints, Stefon Diggs appeared to be upset on the sidelines throughout the course of the game while being limited a decent amount in the game.

Diggs was seen during the overtime victory on the road visibly upset while throwing his helmet on the sideline in the middle of the postseason showdown while he wasn’t receiving really any targets in the game and within the Minnesota passing game.

By the end of the matchup, Diggs managed to finish the Wild Card Game with just two catches for a total of 19 yards, being targeted just three times after being one of the top targets for quarterback Kirk Cousins and the Vikings offense during the regular season.

Minnesota even tried to get Diggs involved in the running game to some extent, with the wide receiver finishing the game with two carries for eight yards in the game, tallying a game-long rush of six yards.

The Vikings will be challenged in the passing game against the 49ers, however, with San Francisco holding opposing offenses to just 169.2 yards per game through the air during the regular season, which was the best mark in the NFL.

On Saturday afternoon, Diggs will end up playing a larger role for Minnesota while squaring off against San Francisco. Look for Cousins and company to target Diggs right out of the gate at Levi’s Stadium to try and get things rolling with the star wide receiver early on.
