3. Chuba Hubbard, RB, Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State has another record-breaking running back: Chuba Hubbard, who rushed for over 100 yards in 12 of 13 games this season. The only game he didn’t rush for 100 was a 56-14 blowout in which he didn’t play the whole game. The NCAA’s leading rusher dominated once again, this time against the Texas A&M Aggies in the Texas Bowl.

Although the Cowboys didn’t come up with the win, Hubbard carried his team on his back. He rushed the ball 19 times for 158 yards, bringing his season total to 2,094 yards. He’ll finish the season with 21 touchdowns while averaging 6.4 yards per carry.

Hubbard ran his way into the first-round pick conversation should he decide to enter the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s a quick player who excels in a phone booth. He has great agility to make guys miss at the line of scrimmage and in the open field.

He explodes through the hole and, while he doesn’t have elite speed, he is a home-run threat. Hubbard doesn’t go down easy and he’ll keep the play alive thanks to his contact balance. Players like Tevin Coleman and Kenyan Drake come to mind as NFL comps. If given the opportunity, Hubbard can be a big-play every-down back and a bargain on Day 2 of the NFL Draft.
