6. Myles Bryant, CB, Washington

The Washington Huskies dominated Boise State in the Las Vegas Bowl, allowing just seven points. The pass defense dominated, holding the Broncos quarterbacks to just 167 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. At the end of one of those interceptions was a former walk-on, Myles Bryant, who picked off Hank Bachmeier in the first quarter and returned it 26 yards.

Bryant isn’t the type of corner who’ll wow scouts and draft fanatics with elite size. He’s 5-9, 195 pounds but comes to the table with an explosive, dynamic, relentless play style. His interception against the Broncos was the third on a season where he also totaled 60 tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss.

In the NFL, he’ll get looked down upon for his lack of size. However, he’s an ideal fit as a do it all type defensive back who can play press-man coverage, drop into the zone and attack the running game. One of his best games came against Hawaii where he was flying all over the field.

He won’t hear his name called until Day 3 of the draft but he’s going be a great addition to any team. Bryant is a poor man’s Tyrann Mathieu, who’ll fit well in systems that run two high safeties. He’s a prospect worthy of being ranked inside the top 150 of the 2020 NFL Draft.
