4. Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU

Joe Burrow has dominated the 2019 college football season. Part of his success came courtesy of one of his elite receiving targets, Justin Jefferson. In the first round of the College Football Playoff, things weren’t any different. The Oklahoma Sooners had no way of stopping Jefferson, who caught four of the seven touchdowns thrown by the Heisman Trophy winner.

This was just another notch on Jefferson’s belt as he’s continued to improve his stock every week with stellar play. While Jefferson will finish inside the top 10 in catches, yards and touchdowns in the country this season, his name will not get mentioned in the top three wide receiver prospects.

However, Jefferson could hear his name called in the first round. Jefferson brings length at 6-3 with a solid frame, weighing 192 pounds. He’s a good downfield weapon. He does a solid job setting up defensive backs before his break. He wins contested catches thanks to his leaping ability and long arms.

Although he’s a strider, he comes with deceptive speed that allows him to separate on 8 and 9 routes. Throughout the draft process, the narrative will change and he’ll likely be considered one of the top five receiver options.
