1. Rodgers can turn it on

Throughout the home stretch of the regular season, Aaron Rodgers caught the ire of many fans for his performance. Make no mistake, the veteran quarterback has enjoyed a fine statistical season. In 2019, Rodgers completed 62 percent of his throws for 4,002 yards with 26 touchdowns and only four interceptions. On the whole, that looks fine.

However, Rodgers did not play like the superstar everyone knows he’s capable of being, at least in terms of the eye-test. His decision-making was questionable, even if it didn’t result in turnovers, and he was seemingly operating on a different page from the rest of the offense. And you’re probably thinking that doesn’t bode well for the Packers.

If there’s one lesson that’s proven true time and again throughout the history of the NFL though, it’s you should always bet on talent. Even in his mid-30s, you could easily argue that Rodgers is the most talented quarterback left among the eight playoff teams. When he turns it up a notch and hits that extra gear, there’s no one that can stop him.

Rodgers getting into playoff-mode and turning up the heat is the biggest X-factor for Green Bay making a Super Bowl run. They proved in the regular season as a 13-win team that they can secure victories even when he’s playing at a pedestrian pace. But if he lives up to his billing as possibly the best quarterback in the league, good luck to anyone trying to stop him.
