Following the Minnesota Vikings loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL Playoffs, here are three Vikings studs and duds from the Divisional Round.

The Minnesota Vikings went into the NFC Divisional Round contest on Saturday afternoon looking to continue their underdog run in the 2020 NFL Playoffs. The sixth-seeded Vikings, coming off of an upset win in New Orleans to open postseason play, once again took the road, this time to square off against the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers.

In the Divisional Round showdown at Levi’s Stadium on Saturday, Minnesota’s run in the postseason came to a rough ending while falling to the superior San Francisco team on the road by a score of 27-10.

The two squads kicked off the game with a low-scoring affair in the opening half of action. While being knotted up at 7-7 after the first quarter of play, the 49ers and Vikings went into halftime with San Francisco holding a 14-10 advantage at the break in Santa Clara.

In the second half, it was all the 49ers for a remainder of the game as the top-seeded team in the NFC was able to run away with the playoff showdown. San Francisco went on to outscore Minnesota 13-0 in the second half to end up with the 17-point victory.

With the win, San Francisco advances to take on the NFC Championship Game next weekend with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

The 49ers will face off against the winner of the other NFC Divisional Round contest between the fifth-seeded Seattle Seahawks and the second-seeded Green Bay Packers, who are set to play at 6:40 p.m. ET on Sunday on FOX.

In the loss, Minnesota saw its run at a potential Super Bowl appearance come to a close. The Vikings managed to finish the regular season with an overall record of 10-6, finishing in second place in the NFC North behind only Green Bay.

Now with the NFC Divisional Round contest between Minnesota and San Francisco behind us, let’s take a look back at the game and pick out three studs and duds that appeared throughout the playoff matchup for the Vikings.
