The Green Bay Packers got out to a big lead and held on to advance past the Seahawks to the NFC Championship. Studs and duds from the Pack’s victory.

It’s rare that you see an NFL team that went 13-3 in the regular season and was the No. 2 seed in the NFC entering the playoffs get as little respect as the Green Bay Packers were entering Sunday’s Divisional Round matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. And yet, despite playing at Lambeau Field, Aaron Rodgers and his crew were getting slighted all over the place.

Rodgers was actually at the heart of much of the criticism directed at the Packers. Though the quarterback had his moments in the 2019 regular season, his decision-making was often puzzling, particularly with ill-timed or questionable throwaways. Many people figured, with the way the signal-caller was playing, Green Bay would need Aaron Jones to carry them against Seattle.

While Jones had two rushing touchdowns, he was not a superstar in terms of his overall production moving the ball down the field. Instead, it was Rodgers switching into playoff mode — with some tremendous help from Davante Adams — as he went 16-of-27 for 243 yards and two touchdowns.

The Packers set the tone early with an opening drive touchdown and then rode their defense and more offensive prowess to take a 21-3 lead into halftime. After pushing that to 28-10 early in the third quarter, Green Bay was able to play defense as they staved off a Seahawks comeback to win, 28-23, and take their spot in the NFC Championship Game where the San Francisco 49ers await.

As nice as Rodgers played though, he was not one of the stud performers of the night for the Packers, which really speaks to how well other players or how hugely some guys stepped up. With that in mind, let’s dive into the Green Bay Packers’ studs and duds from the Divisional Round playoff victory over the Seahawks on Sunday night.
