9. New England Patriots

Speaking of future successors, the New England Patriots are in a similar situation as the New Orleans Saints when trying to determine when Tom Brady will finally decide to call it a career.

And just like Drew Brees, Brady is not only a lock for the Hall of Fame in Canton when the time comes, but also still seems capable of playing on a high level for a few more years if the Patriots will allow him.

As for the chances of Burrow ending up in New England, when looking at all of the times in previous years the Patriots have pulled off all sorts of trades, would this really be a surprise at all?

Around this time each year, there always seems to be some talk surrounding the Patriots for the upcoming draft, and whether this will finally be the year in which they select a quarterback to one day fill the void left by Brady.

Without question, Burrow spending a little bit of time playing behind one of the best in Brady would work wonders for the young quarterback, but also he probably doesn’t want to wait for too long before becoming a full-time starter.

So while a move like this would be classic Patriots, there’s a reason why it’s also considered a long shot.
