7. Indianapolis Colts

One can only imagine how the Indianapolis Colts were feeling last August when Andrew Luck came out with the shocking news that he would be retiring instead of being the team’s starting quarterback for the 2019 season.

Luckily, the Colts were in better shape than most teams would be if their starting quarterback all of a sudden decided to retire since Jacoby Brissett was already on the roster as a backup, and had previously started for Indianapolis in 2017 when Luck was hurt.

With that being said, Brissett did appear to have a bright future in Indianapolis during the first half of the 2019 season when the Colts appeared to be one of the top contenders in the AFC before it all fell apart in the final two months.

Even if the argument can be made that Brissett would have been in better shape with healthier players on offense, Indianapolis is going to do what is best for the team, no matter what.

In comparison, Burrow seems like he would have more potential than Brissett in the long run with the Colts, but also it would be costly to move up in the draft through a trade just to make this happen.

Most likely, Indianapolis is set on doing whatever it takes to make sure things work out for the best with Brissett, but if they were considering all possibilities, the idea of Burrow deserves consideration.
